Quite Sunday

So it's been a little while. I spent the last week or two walking around the area and working hard. I'm having a lot of fun working in the lab here and the people are great. The city of Patras is quite small, especially compared to Boston, but is still nice to walk around. I visited on a Sunday afternoon to take pictures and walk around. I learned afterwards that Sundays are generally the day when everyone goes to the beach or takes it off to relax at one of them many cafes in the area.

University of Patras

I got to walk around the area a bit earlier this week and have enjoyed visiting the beach close to my building. But, as much as I'd enjoy lounging around all day in the gorgeous weather, (88F, 50%Humidity, slight breeze) I am here on Co-op.

I got my co-op through an offer from my Co-op advisor. It was a first time position setup between Northeastern's chemistry department and the department at the University of Patras.

The campus here is much bigger than any found in Boston since it is outside of the city. Here are some pictures from walking around after work. As I said before, it is quite empty this week but soon things should pick up, and it seems like it should be quite busy.

Patras, Greece

My name is Zeke Clements, I'm a middle at Northeastern University and I am on Co-op in Patras, Greece. I'm a chemistry major working with a lab at the University of Patras. These are my experiences.

I personally enjoy photoblogs a lot so I will probably end up posting more photos than anything else. A lot of the ones I currently have are lacking in people but this tends to be because classes are finishing up for the summer and they don't start again until the week of the 15th.
